But as for plot and storytelling, I gain a lot more from the mass-appeal bestsellers, as lit books tend not to have very good plotting generally. (Because it's not the plot that matters in lit.) <BR/><BR/>As for characterisation, I gain more from the mass-appeal bestsellers, as they tend to speak out to the everyman.
